Class of 2017 cover themselves in glory
The Jeppe High School for Boys class of 2017 have covered themselves in glory, producing a fantastic set of results in the matric examinations.
In summary:
98% pass rate
165 distinctions (out of 193 pupils who wrote)
76% Bachelor Pass Rate
20% Diploma Exemption
The school’s top six was led by Avinal Garach who got nine distinctions, while Anre Waters got eight. Two boys – Matthew De Bie and Preston Van Tonder achieved seven distinction each, with Jabulani Mdluli and Sebastian De Beer getting six each.
A further five pupils got five As each.
It has been a marvellous achievement, the result of hard work and application from a remarkable group of young men, and a committed, dedicated set of teachers.
