Classes of 53 - 57 leave an amazing Legacy, Class of 76 joins us!
We would like to acknowledge the magnificent response to the appeal to Sponsor a Jeppe Boy Project initiated by former Headmaster Kevin Tait (Koodoo 1967) and Michael Quail (Head boy, Tsessebe 1956). While several contributors have given annual amounts, others are making direct transfers or have signed up for a debit order. Their combined contribution has enabled us to sponsor two boys, namely Daniel van Dyk, Seamus Lindsay, Daniel Matji and Matthews Adams all of Grade 9 and Doyle Adams of Grade 8.

As there is still some money left over we will be allocating it to another boy in due course. We are also awaiting additional contributions from others from these classes who gave Michael positive responses. So far R98 935 has been collected by those whose names appear below. Well done! What better way can there be of supporting the School than giving another youngster the opportunity you had to be a Jeppe boy?
It currently costs R16 300 per year for a day boy in Grade 8. As the parents of many deserving boys are unable to afford the school fees in full and the state no longer subsidises indigent families, these sponsorships are vitally important for the school to keep a positive cash flow.
Our ultimate aim is to get every year group to sponsor at least one boy. This project will be launched at the reunion dinner for each group. Last year the Classes of 57, 67 and 97 had reunions. What are the classes of 58, 68, 88 and 98 planning? But of course you don’t have to wait until then if you want to join in. Contact Kevin Tait at kjt@telkomsa.net for more information.

I am aware that there are also members of the above classes contributing to other fund-raising initiatives at the School. We plan to acknowledge all the contributors to the various programmes in due course.
