Academic
Homework Policy

Homework to be given as follows
:

Grades 8 & 9:              1 ½ to 2 hours per day.
This translates into 15 to 20 minutes of homework per period taught in a cycle.

Grades 10 & 11:         2 to 2 ½ hours per day
This translates into 20 to 25 minutes of homework per period taught in a cycle.

Grade 12:                     2 ½ to 3 hours per day
This translates into 25 to 30 minutes of homework per period taught in a cycle.

Note: Please bear the above in mind when giving projects etc. which can take a long time to do. When giving homework to a class, estimate how long it would take the average learner to complete.

Projects / Class Test Timetables

At the start of each term, the Head of each Grade will put a timetable on the notice board in the staffroom. Please make sure you fill in tests and projects for the term on that timetable to avoid classes having more than one test to write or project to hand in on a given day. This will be done on a first-come-first-served basis, so be sure to do this timeously.
