Other factors that are taken into consideration include – please supply the relevant documentation:
  • Age compatibility – an originally certified copy of the birth certificate or ID needs to be provided;
  • Assessment and evaluation – the original latest school report and copies of any other supporting documentation such as certificates and representative selection letters;  the official transfer card will also be required;
  • Interviews – wherever possible applicants are interviewed by senior staff members;
  • Proof of Residence/proof of Workplace - preference is given to applicants in the School Feeder Area;
  • 1 Passport-sized photograph of the applicant;
  •  Essay - the applicant needs to write, in his own hand, a one page essay on “Why I wish to come to Jeppe”;
  •  Residence and Study permits are required for non South African Citizens
 
ENTRANCE INTERVIEWS ANDTOURS OF THE SCHOOL
  • Your son may be invited for an interview once your application ahs been processed
  • Tours of the School take place on Open Days but can also be individually organized by arrangement

ACCEPTANCE
 
FINANCE
  • Upon acceptance, you will be required to sign a tuition/boarding contract with the School;
  • School Fees are payable in advance. Payments should either be by debit order or cheque as we prefer to keep the school cash free.
  • Cheques should be made payable to JEPPE HIGH SCHOOL FOR BOYS.
  • School Fees for 2009 will be R18 700 p.a.;   
  • Hostel Fees are an additional R22 000 p.a. for weekly boarding and R24 800 p.a. for termly boarding.
  • If your son is accepted, a deposit of R2 000 will be payable by a specified date to secure his place. This full amount will be credited to his school fees.
  • Hostel fees are payable quarterly IN ADVANCE. Cheques are also payable to JEPPE HIGH SCHOOL FOR BOYS.
  •  A non-refundable hostel deposit of R2 500 must be paid by the specified date. This amount will be credited to the first term’s hostel fees.
 
OFFICIAL STOCKISTS
  • The Jeppe School Shop is a private venture supported by the School on site;
  • Settlers (on Broadway) and Kaplans (on Jules Street) carry limited stock;
  • Uniform lists will be supplied on admission.
As soon as applications have been processed, subject to GDE Regulations, parents will be informed if their son’s application has been successful
