“A game played in water by two teams of 7 swimmers in which each sides try to throw or propel an inflated ball into the opponent’s goal”

Water Polo seems to have it ups and downs like any other sport.
Over the last 3 years there has been definite renewed enthusiasm by Coaches, Boys and Parents.
This has resulted in a steady improvement with regards to the Jeppe Water Polo team’s performances.
This improvement has been the result of dedication and commitment by the relevant coaches and players involved. Training started early this year when the water was still cold and froze the big toe when tested, never mind the rest of the body. Both coaches and boys were determined to continue with improving their abilities in the pool in order to become a force to be reckoned with.

The next upcoming tour will be the Grey Bloem tour which will be held from 23 to 26 October wherein the under 14 boys will be competing.
Fund Raising
The Comedy evening was a great success, not only were the comedians really entertaining but the bonus was the band which had people dancing until the early hours of the morning, talk about nostalgia - the “good old days” – bring back rock and roll !!!!
Further fund raising will be the forthcoming Fireworks evening to be held on Saturday, 1 November 2008.
Roof Wetting
The newly constructed lapa at the pool is looking absolutely fantastic.
Special thanks go to Laurie and the team for their efforts in getting this project completed, it is something to be really proud of. Watch this space for dates.
