38 Jeppe boys in provincial hockey teams
No fewer that 38 Jeppe hockey players were named in the Southern Gauteng Schools hockey teams that will be playing in interprovincial tournaments during the July holidays.
Five players: Eddie Ramohlale, Keegan Smith, Jesse Martin, Thalefang Pharasi and Callum Birkenfield are in the prestigious under-18A team that will be going to the tournament in Durban.
Four under-14 players made the Team Gauteng side, chosen from Southern, Eastern and Northern Gauteng.
There are also six Jeppe teachers and coaches who will be going to the tournaments. They are: Manny Segale (u-16A manager), Kyle Reddy (u-18A manager), Thabang Diole (Team Gauteng manager), Simon Maluleka (u-14B manager), Kishendren Pillay(u-14D manager) and Bryan Hillock (u-14A coach).
The Jeppe players and the teams they will be representing are:
Under-14 Team Gauteng – Jaydon Lincoln, Ross Breytenbach, Caden Sanders and Hayden Bartlett
Under-Under-14A – Cael Murray, Jarred Alblas, Caleb Arries, Alex De Sousa
Under-14B – Keaton Stansfeld, Zack Pearson, Samuel Grottis
Under-14C – Joshua Hutcheon
Under-14D – James Kamerman and Kartik Gusain
Under-16A – Nathan Grose, Rowan Wales, Connor Cottam, Ryan Mann, Akanyang Nkabinde
Under-16B – Chad Oosthuizen, Tevin Thompson
Under-16C – Callum Smith
Under-16D – Marco Gentle, Nahum Grottis, Tshifiwa Ramashiya
Under-17A – Dillan Kirkland, Duncan Grose, Jordan Johnson
