It’s been a good half season for Tino and the under-14As

The Jeppe under-14A cricket team has had a successful half season and one name that came up consistently when their scores were handed in was that of all-rounder Tino Mutekwa.

With the bat, he has made four half centuries and a century and has amassed a total of 525 runs at an average of 65. His top score was 136, against Parktown, and he finished off the season with a 66 not out against St Benedict’s last week.

He has also taken 23 wickets, including a five wicket haul against King Edward early on in the season.

It’s been a good season for me and I have enjoyed playing in this team,” he said. “I think we will be getting much better in time to come as we begin to perform more consistently. I’m looking forward to next year.”
