Jeppe host Northwood Boys’ High

Jeppe hosted close to 400 boys from Northwood High School over the weekend for our annual winter activities day which featured rugby, hockey, chess, tennis and squash matches between the two schools.

An event like this requires massive contributions from the staff and coaches, and from the Jeppe families who opened their homes to host the visitors from Durban.

The day was a great success and everyone involved deserves a big vote of thanks.

Results-wise, it was a great success for Jeppe. The 1st hockey team won 1-0, and the 1st rugby team got back on the winning track with a 41-14 victory.

Four of the hockey teams drew their games, and all the rest won.

Only one rugby team – the under-14cs – lost to Northwood on the day, and there were several big victories throughout the age groups.

The squash team drew their match with Northwood, while the tennis and chess teams were beaten.

The first and under-16A teams are off to Port Elizabeth this weekend to play in the Grey High School Festival. They play Grey High and Durban High School.
