The first full summer sports fixture of the third term season – involving cricket water polo and basketball – took place at Jeppe last weekend, with the visitors being our old rivals, King Edward VII School.
It was a successful day for Jeppe, with the school winning both the 1st team basketball and water polo matches, and taking the honours in the majority of the games across the age groups, in both sports.
In the cricket, King Edward won the 1st team game and confirmed that they are the top cricketing school in town by winning most of the fixtures.
The Jeppe 1st team did, however, put up a brave performance, going down by just 18 runs in the end, with Linda Ndlovu making a hard-fought 68.
Special mention should be made of the under-14A team, who continued their great runs of results this year by beating KES by three wickets.
