Jeppe’s 2018 matric results were excellent. The overall pass rate was 98%, with 73% of those being Bachelors passes and a further 22% obtaining Diploma passes, meaning that 95% of the boys qualify for further tertiary study.

There were 193 distinctions achieved – the most in the history of the school – with one boy getting eight, three getting seven, one six, three five, six four and eight three distinctions each.

The top achievers were:

Abdullah Bemath – a full house of 8 distinctions.

Shaur Batohi, Moeketsi Mashibini and Andrew Van Olst – 7 distinctions each.

David Newton – 6 distinctions

Jonathan Bosch, Tareeq Govender and Louis Wentzel – 5 distinctions each

The class of 2018 did us proud, as we knew they would. The 2019 cohort have a tough act to follow, beginning next week Wednesday.
